Concept and visualization of a social media solution for EF Language Travels.
Production
The concept gathers all major social media portals and creates a unique experience, combined with a useful service for the students. Friends and family can join the fun and experience the trip. Students connect with other students, use the web as a tool to learn and share — and are given the option to remember their trip through a travel diary, printed and sent to their home.
After a short concept phase we started designing right away. The iPhone app and the web app was built simultaneously and evolved side by side, ensuring a consistent feel and look. Grass covered tree panels were used throughout the design, to create a fresh and somewhat tropical feeling.
The web prototype was built with XHTML, CSS and jQuery, using some CSS3 effects to speed up the development. A prototype of the iPhone app that simulated the main functions was built with Keynote.
