A web campaign marketing the Digital Media 2010 class of Hyper Island, Stockholm.
What did I do?
During the project my main role was production leader, but I also got the chance to work with design, sound, concept and copy.
The site
The flash site takes the user on a mystic and colorful journey. The user enters a dark town — filled with the students from Hyper Island Digital Media 2010 — which gradually lightens up as the user clicks through the students. When all students have been clicked through, it’s an entirely new town; birds are singing in the background, and the buildings have changed from gray blocks to a happy disco palette. It’s a journey made able with Papervision. The flash team was made up of Kristofer Forsell, Marius Nohr and Emil Jönsson.
The Intro: Sound Production
The signature melody for 53colors was composed by Peter Jonasson together with Erik Hjort af Ornäs. Emilia Blom wrote a wonderful script, which was sent to audiotome for voice-over recording. After receiving the final voice-over recording from audiotome, I composed the sound for the introduction video with some help from Johan Blomborg and Samuel Larsson. The audio was sent off to mastering, and the audio above is the final result. The audio is heard during the introduction video (created by Gregory Solenström) at the site. Is it cheese? Yes, it is cheese. Really cheese. And we had a blast creating it.
